Dr. Holly Frederick is Professor and Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Wilkes University, with over 15 years of academic experience. A licensed environmental engineer, she holds a PhD from Pennsylvania State University and BS from Wilkes University. Her career progression includes roles as Adjunct Professor (1999-2008), Visiting Assistant Professor (2008-2013), Assistant Professor (2013-2016), and Associate Professor before attaining her current position.
Research Focus: Dr. Frederick specializes in water chemistry and treatment systems, with current emphasis on emerging contaminants like pharmaceuticals and trace organics. Her work integrates biological/physical-chemical treatment methods, water quality analysis, and environmental chemistry. A Pennsylvania Water Resources Research Center grant supports her undergraduate research initiatives.
Publication Trends: Her recent publications (2014-2016) demonstrate dual focus on environmental engineering (water contamination, treatment efficiency) and pedagogical innovation.
