Holli Temple

Holli Temple serves as Clinical Associate Professor in the Health Outcomes & Pharmacy Practice Division at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She coordinates Introduction to Patient Care and the Care and Respect for the Elderly (CARE) Program, while directing Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences across the Austin/Temple/Waco region.

Her academic credentials include a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University (1992), followed by dual pharmacy degrees from the University of Texas: B.S. in Pharmacy (1994) and Doctor of Pharmacy (1999).

Dr. Temple's clinical expertise spans Medication Safety implementation, Geriatric Pharmacy through the CARE initiative, and Renal Disorders management as ASHP PharmPrep section editor. Her Health Outcomes research integrates institutional pharmacy practice with patient care optimization, emphasizing elderly populations and medication error prevention systems.

Award highlights include the 2004 North Austin Medical Center Caregiver of the Year, 2003 Rho Chi Alumni Honor Roll recognition, and the 2002 Wm. Arlyn Kloesel Outstanding Preceptor Award for educational excellence.

With continuous precepting since 2000 for Adult Medicine and Institutional Pharmacy rotations, she maintains active student mentorship while coordinating comprehensive clinical training programs that bridge academic instruction with real-world hospital pharmacy practice.
