Dr. Hojin Song serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities & Communication within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at California State University, Monterey Bay.
Her scholarly work focuses on the complex interplay between media, culture, and identity formation, with particular emphasis on:

- Motherhood and media
- Digital media and youth culture
- Contemporary Korean media culture
- Food and media relationships
Dr. Song's research examines how media both influence and are influenced by popular culture and identities, especially in the South Korean context.
