Ho-Yin Mak is an Associate Scholar at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Previously, he served as Associate Professor in Operations and Information Management at Georgetown University and held roles at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Saïd Business School (2015–2022). His research focuses on operations management, sustainability, supply chain optimization, and healthcare systems, published in journals like Management Science and Manufacturing and Service Operations Management.
He has received notable recognitions including the 'Best 40 under 40 Professors' award (2019) and the INFORMS Young Researcher Prize. His teaching spans analytics, supply chain optimization, and logistics planning across MBA, EMBA, and doctoral programs.
Mak’s work integrates operations research and economics to address real-world challenges in energy, environmental systems, and healthcare. He has contributed to both academic and applied domains, emphasizing sustainable practices and operational efficiency.
