Hitoshi Tsujimoto, Ph.D., is an assistant research scientist in Dr. Zach Adelman’s lab at Texas A&M University’s Department of Entomology, within the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. His research focuses on genetic, genomic, and physiological aspects of the dengue virus vector mosquito Aedes aegypti, with emphasis on gene regulation, genome editing, bloodmeal digestion, excretion, and reproductive processes.

Research Interests:
Dr. Tsujimoto’s work integrates vector biology, genomics, and biotechnology to elucidate mechanisms underlying mosquito physiology and pathogen transmission. Key areas include CRISPR-based gene editing in Aedes aegypti, aquaporin function in disease vectors, and molecular mechanisms of bloodmeal processing.
