Himlona Palikhe is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University's College of Engineering. She also serves as Co-Program Director for the Master of Science in Engineering Management program. Palikhe holds a PhD in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management from Texas Tech University, an MS in Industrial Engineering from the same institution, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kathmandu Engineering College (Tribhuvan University).
Her research focuses on cost of quality, electric utilities, supply chain management, optimization, and economic modeling. She additionally contributes to data analytics, artificial intelligence, and operations research within the College of Engineering. Palikhe has been actively involved in guiding student teams in engineering management competitions, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration through Northeastern’s co-op program and student organizations.
