Hillary Bucs is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Western New England University, where she teaches Acting, Improvisational Comedy, and Playwriting. Her scholarly work focuses on Stanislavski's principles, particularly objectives, obstacles, and tactics in actor training.
She co-edited the 2019 Routledge publication Objectives, Obstacles, and Tactics in Practice, which provides practical tools for instructors and directors. Her 2020 Journal Article on pandemic-era acting pedagogy highlights innovations in remote studio environments.
