Hildegund Müller is an Associate Professor of Classics and Director of Graduate Studies in Early Christian Studies at the University of Notre Dame. She holds a Dr. phil. and Mag. phil. from the University of Vienna. Her research focuses on Late Antique Latin literature, including Augustine’s Psalm Sermons and sermon collections, exploring their connections to classical rhetoric, Biblical sources, improvisation, orality, and medieval influence. She also studies Latin Middle Ages poetry and exegesis, with a dissertation on the Carolingian-era 'Luculentius' homiliary. Her expertise includes classical authors like Cicero and Horace.
