Prof. Dr. Hidayet Argun is a full-time Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at Pamukkale University in Denizli, Turkey. His academic journey includes a Licence (2001) and Doctorate (2010) from Dokuz Eylul University, and a Master's degree from Technical University of Hamburg (2003).
His primary research focuses on Bioprocesses in Environmental Engineering, with expertise spanning biological treatment systems, microbial applications in pollution control, and environmental biotechnology.
He has received multiple prestigious awards including:
- First Prize in Hamburg-Harburg Tech's Clear Water Competition
- TUBITAK PhD Scholarship
- TEV-DAAD Master's Scholarship
At undergraduate level, he teaches courses including Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Biological Processes, and associated laboratory components.
