Hiba F. Fayoumi is an Associate Lecturer and Undergraduate Advisor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Toledo. She advises students in pure math, applied math, and math & computer science concentrations. She holds a PhD from the University of Alabama (2008), supervised by Prof. Joseph Neggers, and an MS from the University of Colorado at Boulder (2004), where she worked under Prof. John Black and Prof. Eric Stade.
Her research focuses on algebraic cryptography, universal algebra, and ordered algebraic structures, particularly logic-algebras derived from propositional calculus (e.g., works of Y. Imai and K. Iseki). Secondary interests include number theory, coding theory, and information security. She is affiliated with University Hall 2010-G and can be reached at hiba.fayoumi@utoledo.edu.
