Associate Professor Heshium Lawrence is affiliated with the Department of Technology at the University of Texas at Tyler. He holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems and Workforce Development from Mississippi State University (2010), an M.S. in Instructional Technology (2004), and a B.S. in Industrial Technology (2003). His research focuses on industrial technology education, curriculum development, and workforce preparedness. He has served as an Adjunct Instructor at Jackson State University and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Mississippi State University, teaching courses like Manufacturing Systems and Database Management. Dr. Lawrence is a member of the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) and received 2nd place at the 5th Annual GSA Research Symposium in Social Sciences. His articles address topics ranging from gifted student engagement to nanotechnology safety education. He emphasizes improving industrial technology curricula and exploring industry impacts on student development.
