Herschel Rabitz is the Charles Phelps Smyth Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University, leading research in quantum control and systems biology. His group combines theoretical and experimental approaches to manipulate molecular quantum dynamics and biological networks.
Research focuses include quantum optimal control, molecular spectroscopy, and algorithms for bio-network engineering. Key research areas: laser-driven molecular dynamics, quantum computing applications, and metabolic pathway optimization.
Recent publications (2022-2025) demonstrate advances in quantum algorithms, molecular control techniques, and interdisciplinary methods integrating machine learning with quantum physics.
