Herms Eilert is a prominent German theologian, serving as Professor of Systematic Theology at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (1995-2008) and Director of the Institute for Ethics. His academic career includes positions at the Universities of Kiel (1971-1979), Munich (1979-1985), and Mainz (1985-1995). He holds a PhD (1971) and habilitation (1975) in theology from Kiel University.
