Hermann Josef Bail

Hermann Josef Bail is a Professor at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, affiliated with the Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery. He serves as Dean for Science and Research at the University Clinic in Nuremberg, Germany.

• Research Interests: Orthopedic Surgery, Trauma Medicine, Biomechanics, Joint Arthroplasty, Knee Osteoarthritis.

Recent Publications highlight his work in in vitro biomechanical analysis of joint arthroplasty, pain management for osteoarthritis, and surgical quality evaluation in arthroplasty centers. His 15 most recent articles (2024–2025) focus on clinical outcomes, surgical techniques, and patient-reported results.
