Herman Sletmoen is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo's Department of Astrophysics, affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. His research focuses on cosmology-related topics including gravity, large-scale structure formation, and background time. He holds a BSc + MSc in Physics and Mathematics from NTNU (Trondheim), where his thesis explored quark and hybrid stars using the Quark-Meson Model.
Teaching experience includes roles as a student assistant and group session teacher for courses such as Astronomy - a Cosmic Journey, Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetic Theory, and others from 2019-2022. He is involved in the Euclid project and the Cosmology and Extragalactic Astronomy research group.
