Herbert Brücker is Professor of Economics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, holding the Hertie Endowed Chair for 'Economic Migration and Integration Research'. He serves as Director of the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM) and heads the Department of Economic Migration and Integration Research. His research focuses on international migration, labor markets, European integration, and applied quantitative methods.
Brücker holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Frankfurt and completed his habilitation at Technical University of Berlin. Prior to joining HU Berlin, he headed the Research Department 'Migration, Integration and International Analysis' at the Institute for Employment Research and was Professor of Economics at Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg.
