Henry Temple is a Research Associate at the Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge, working within the groups of Professors Henrik Jönsson and Sarah Robinson. The Sainsbury Laboratory operates as a dedicated plant science research institute under the University of Cambridge umbrella, collaborating closely with the Department of Plant Sciences and other Cambridge plant-science entities.
His research centers on computational modeling of plant development, with emphasis on cellular morphogenesis and hormone-driven growth patterns. This work bridges theoretical biology and experimental plant science, leveraging advanced computational tools to decode spatial organization in plant tissues and cellular responses to environmental stimuli.
Based at the Sainsbury Laboratory (47 Bateman Street, Cambridge CB2 1LR), Dr. Temple contributes to a research ecosystem supported by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation alongside major funders including the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and European Research Council. The institute forms part of Cambridge's integrated plant-science network, which encompasses the Department of Plant Sciences, Crop Science Centre, and Cambridge University Botanic Garden.
