Henry Shea, SJ is an Assistant Professor in the Theology Department at Boston College, affiliated with the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford and previous degrees from Georgetown University, Fordham University, and Boston College. His research focuses on theologies of grace, figures like Karl Rahner and Hans Urs von Balthasar, Ignatian spirituality, and liturgical studies.
Education: B.A. (Georgetown), M.A. (Fordham), M.Div. & S.T.L. (Boston College), D.Phil. (Oxford).
Research interests span theological anthropology, sacramental theology, and intersections of liturgy with eschatology. Recent publications include An Analogy of Grace (2025) and articles on Christology and theological methodology.
