Henry Green is a Professor in Religious Studies at the University of Miami's College of Arts and Sciences, where he has taught since 1984. He founded the University of Miami's Judaic Studies Program and established Sephardic Studies as a concentration. Green is also a prominent figure in the Sephardi Voices Project, documenting the expulsion of Jews from Arab lands post-WWII.

His academic projects include the HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) program, which he helped export to the U.S. and Canada, and the MOSAIC Project on Jewish life in Florida. Green has held fellowships at the Skirball Foundation, University of Toronto, and Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
