Henry G. Dove, Ph.D., MBA, is a Lecturer in Public Health (Health Policy) at the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH). He holds a PhD from Yale University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. His expertise spans health care finance, management science, and policy, with a focus on patient classification systems, risk adjustment, and Medicare payment systems. He has led research initiatives at Yale-West Haven Veterans Health Services and founded Case-mix Analytics, LLC, which specializes in healthcare data analysis for providers and investors.
Dr. Dove has taught at YSPH for over 25 years, winning three teaching awards, including the Yale School of Public Health’s Distinguished Teacher of the Year (1994). His research includes disease modeling, cost-effectiveness analyses, and evaluating disease management programs. He has served on boards such as the Whitney Center (2006–2014) and the Connecticut Ambulatory Surgery Center Patient Safety Organization (2005–2006).
His honors include the Disease Management Association of America’s Best Article of the Year (2003, co-authored with I. Duncan) and recognition as a Gerson-Lehrman Scholar and Guidepoint Global Expert. His work bridges academic teaching, industry consulting, and policy analysis in healthcare systems.
