Henrik Hasseldam is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. His research is conducted at the Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC), specifically within the Brakebusch Group, focusing on neuroimmunology and stroke-related mechanisms.

Hasseldam's research interests center on Multiple Sclerosis with specific focus on neurodegeneration versus inflammation, cerebrospinal fluid as prognostic markers, and the relationship between Multiple Sclerosis and the microbiota. His current research investigates mitochondrial dysfunction in relation to autoimmune diseases, particularly using experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis models. His work demonstrates a strong interdisciplinary approach bridging immunology, neurology, and molecular biology.
