Professor Henriette van der Blom specializes in Ancient History at the University of Birmingham, focusing on Roman Republican politics, oratory, and Cicero studies. She holds a DPhil from Oxford and has held academic positions at Wolfson College Oxford, University of Glasgow, and Birmingham since 2016.

Current supervision includes projects on Cicero's letters, populism in the Roman Republic, and ancient diplomatic practices.
