Henri Conte

Henri Conte is a Lecturer in Private Law at the University of Angers (UCO Angers), serving as Co-teaching Director for the first year of the law degree. He is an Associate Researcher at the Institute of Private Law (UT1 Capitole) and a member of the Trans Europe Expert network. His qualifications include a Doctorate in Private Law (2017) and a Qualification for Lecturer in 2018. His research focuses on civil liability law, contract law, and fundamental private law.

Previous roles include a full-time contractual lecturer-researcher position at UT1 Capitole (2018–2019) and temporary teaching at the University of Pau. His academic contributions span numerous articles and books, with a particular emphasis on legal principles like full reparative justice, contractual obligations, and liability thresholds.

Key areas of recent work include co-ownership disputes, vehicle-related liability under Badinter Law, and the theoretical foundations of civil damages. His publications reflect a blend of doctrinal analysis and practical legal challenges, often addressing contemporary issues in French civil law.

He actively contributes to academic networks and serves on the UCO’s CREED research team, focusing on legal research and education.
