Henri Benisty

Henri Benisty serves as a University Professor at the Institut d'Optique Graduate School, where he is a permanent staff member in the Nanophotonics group of the Charles Fabry Laboratory (LCF) at the Orsay campus.

His research spans Nano-optics, Plasmonics, and Quantum Nanophotonics with specialized focus on Thermoplasmonics, Metasurfaces, and Quantum Engineering. Key projects include CEISCAT (quantum engineering with single photons), IRENA (photoluminescence & metasurfaces), and investigations into electroluminescence through tunneling effects. His work bridges fundamental quantum phenomena with nanoscale photonic device development.

The Nanophotonics group operates within the Charles Fabry Laboratory's advanced infrastructure, utilizing specialized platforms including NBL3 nanofabrication systems and Nanomasker lithography tools. This environment supports interdisciplinary research connecting quantum optics, materials science, and photonics engineering through the laboratory's collaborative framework with CNRS and European research networks.
