Henri Akono, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Maine’s Maine Business School (MBS). He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio, an M.S. in Finance from Rochester Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University, and a B.S. in Banking and Finance from the University of Buea, Cameroon.
His research focuses on executive compensation, capital market audits, corporate governance, and analyst forecasts. His work has been published in journals such as Accounting Horizons, Review of Accounting and Finance, and Advances in Accounting. He teaches courses including Auditing, Managerial Accounting, and Financial Reporting. He has also contributed a chapter on audit fees in The Routledge Companion to Auditing.
