Henk Noorman is an honorary professor (part-time) in Bioprocess Design at Delft University of Technology and a Corporate Science Fellow in Engineering Sciences at DSM. He holds a PhD in systems biology from TU Delft (1991) and has extensive industry experience since 1994. His research focuses on bioprocess computation, scale-up/scale-down strategies, and syngas fermentation. He collaborates internationally on fermentation technology with networks in the EU, US, China, and Brazil. His work bridges academia and industry, emphasizing strategic development and business alignment. Key projects include gas fermentation optimization and bioreactor modeling at industrial scales. He is affiliated with the Bioprocess Engineering department within the Faculty of Applied Sciences.
