Prof. Dr. Hendrik Scholta is a Full Professor for Digital Government and Information Technology at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer since April 2024. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Münster's Chair for Information Systems and Information Management (2018–2024). His academic journey includes doctoral studies (2014–2018), a Master's (2012–2014), and a Bachelor's (2008–2011) in Information Systems, all at the University of Münster.
His research focuses on Digital Government, Business Process Management, and Conceptual Modeling, with a particular emphasis on public service automation, no-stop shop models, and citizen-centric service design. Notable projects include conceptualizing citizen journeys for demand-oriented public services and developing methodologies for standardizing government forms.
He has received accolades such as the Best Research-in-Progress Paper (AIS, 2020) and a Best Paper Award at HICSS (2017). His work spans collaborative projects like RISE_BPM (EU-funded) and FOR 5393 (DFG), exploring topics like digital transformation in mid-sized towns and federal information management. He teaches courses on Information Modeling, E-Government, and scientific writing, emphasizing practical applications in digital governance.
