Hendrik Dey is a Professor and Associate Chair for Art History at the Department of Art and Art History, Hunter College. He specializes in classical and medieval architecture, urban history, and material culture, with a focus on Rome and its transformations from Late Antiquity to the early Middle Ages.
His research spans the architectural legacy of imperial Rome, the evolution of urban spaces post-Roman Empire, and the material culture of early medieval societies. His publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches combining archaeology, art history, and historical analysis.
