Prof. Dr. Hendrayanto is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Forestry at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), specializing in Forest and Watershed Hydrology. He contributes to the CRC 990 project group A02, focusing on tree and palm water use characteristics in rainforest transformation systems.
- Education: Bachelor in Forestry (IPB, 1985), Graduate Diploma in Watershed Management (ITC-Enschede, Netherlands, 1990), Master and PhD in Forest Hydrology (Kyoto University, Japan, 1996 and 1999)
His research spans soil hydraulic properties, watershed hydrology, and environmental processes, particularly in oil palm plantations. He actively participates in academic governance as a member of IPB's academic senate and previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Forestry (2007–2011) and Head of the Indonesian Forestry Colleges Forum (2009–2011).
