Dr. Heloisa Candello is a Senior Research Scientist in the Responsible Tech group at IBM Research Brazil. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Interactive Technologies) from the University of Brighton, UK.
- Research focus: Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and design methods for understanding interactions with AI-based systems
- Active in ACM SIGCHI committees (Volunteer Development, LATAM executive, CUI/CHI Steering)
- Expertise in conversational technologies, social impact of AI, and generative AI design
Her work has been published in leading conferences (ACM CHI, CUI, CSCW, DRS, DUXU, IUI) and emphasizes ethical, inclusive, and user-centered approaches to AI development.
