Helmut Geiblinger

Dr. Helmut Geiblinger is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the University of Southern Queensland since 2006. With 30+ years of tertiary teaching experience, he specializes in Human Movement Science, Coach Education, and Vocational Training. His career spans physical education, international gymnastics judging/coaching, and academic roles at the University of Sydney and Victoria University.

• Education: PhD (Victoria University), MEd (Sydney), Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies

Research focuses on biomechanical analysis of gymnastics landings, sports science, and educational systems. Active in professional organizations like AARE and serves on the Board of Teacher Registration. Teaches courses in HPE curriculum, biophysical foundations of sport, and sports coaching.
