Helle Vandkilde

Helle Vandkilde is a Professor at Aarhus University's Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies since 2009, with a Docent title at Lund University since 1999. Her work spans Bronze Age Europe, globalization studies, and metallurgy.

• Current roles: International board member at Kiel's 'Roots' program (2019–2025), Executive Board member of Independent Research Fund Denmark (2019–), Scientific Advisory Board of the National Museum of Denmark (2018–)

Research focuses on Bronze Age metallurgy, transcultural warriorhood, prehistoric globalization, and violence. She integrates material culture analysis with theoretical frameworks.
