Helgi Winther Olsen is an Assistant Professor in Physical Education and a PhD student at the Faculty of Education, The University of the Faroe Islands. His work focuses on physical literacy, cardiorespiratory fitness, and health outcomes in youth and small-scale island societies. He leads the FIT FIRST physical activity intervention program and collaborates on statin-exercise interaction studies.

- Research Interests: Physical education curricula development, endurance training physiology, and health metrics in schoolchildren and older adults.
