Helga Ertesvåg

Helga Ertesvåg is a Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where she has been affiliated since earning her doctorate in biochemistry in 1994. Her research focuses on bacterial polysaccharide alginate production and lipid synthesis in marine microorganisms, particularly thraustochytrids, which are significant for their production of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA.
