Helene Hauge

Helene Hauge is an Associate Professor of English linguistics at the Department of Language and Literature, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), within the Faculty of Humanities. She serves as Chair of the Executive Committee for Teacher Education (FUL) and has held leadership roles including Deputy Head of Education (2013–2020) and Head of the MA in Language Studies with Teacher Education (2010–2017). Her academic background includes an MA in English linguistics from NTNU, with additional studies in German and general linguistics.

Her research focuses on sentence structure, information structure, language learning, and innovative teaching methodologies. Notable work includes developing language awareness frameworks and investigating the use of technology like Student Response Systems (SRS) in language education. She has authored or co-authored chapters in academic publications and contributed to course materials for introductory English linguistics courses.
