Helena Vissing

Helena Vissing is Associate Professor at CIIS, specializing in trauma-informed somatic psychotherapy for perinatal populations. Certified in Perinatal Mental Health, she integrates psychodynamic and somatic approaches to address pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences.

Her research examines maternal embodiment, trauma treatment frameworks, and the integration of body-centered modalities in clinical practice. She authored Somatic Maternal Healing (2023) and develops professional training programs for providers through Nurturing Mamas Network.
