Dr. Helena Pietrzak is a faculty member at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL). She successfully completed her habilitation proceedings, initiated in October 2013 and finalized in May 2014, under the supervision of a committee chaired by Rev. Prof. Dr. Grzegorz Leszczyński. Her academic work is affiliated with the Law Faculty, which focuses on legal research, European and comparative law, canon law, and administrative studies.
Her research interests align with the faculty’s emphasis on interdisciplinary legal studies, including European Law and migration policy, as highlighted in the faculty’s publications and research centers such as the Centre for Research on European Law and Migration Policy.
The habilitation process involved rigorous evaluation by prominent academics, including Rev. Prof. Krzysztof Warchałowski and Prof. Henryk Cioch, underscoring her integration into the university’s scholarly community.
