Helena Hauss

Dr. Helena Hauss is Research Director of Marine Ecology at NORCE and Guest Scientist at GEOMAR. Her research examines zooplankton responses to environmental stressors including ocean deoxygenation, nutrient stoichiometry changes, and climate-driven ocean modifications.

Key research areas include: 1) Metabolic adaptations in oxygen minimum zones 2) Trophic interactions in pelagic ecosystems 3) Mesoscale eddy impacts on biogeochemistry 4) Optical/acoustic observation methods.
