Helen Taylor-boyd is a Lecturer in Natural Sciences at the University of Chester. Her research focuses on behavioral ecology, particularly wildlife responses to human impacts and practical conservation applications. She also works as an ecological consultant in industry.
Teaching includes BSc and MSc modules on Animal Behavior, Welfare, and Research Skills, with a focus on supervising student projects involving captive and wild animal behavior.
Her research expertise spans movement ecology of big cats in Namibia, bat species in Zambia (since 2015), and urban wildlife interactions. Her PhD investigates bats in agricultural landscapes, emphasizing their ecological roles and conservation challenges.
