Dr. Helen Stuckey is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Design at RMIT University, specializing in Game Studies, Videogame History, and Digital Media Preservation. Her research focuses on cultural heritage, media art history, and museum curation practices. She has curated exhibitions such as Game Masters at ACMI and contributed to projects like Play It Again, preserving Australian gaming history. Her work bridges academic research with public engagement, emphasizing the role of retro gaming communities and digital archiving.
Key research interests include digital heritage frameworks, the preservation of born-digital materials, and the intersection of technology with cultural memory. She collaborates across disciplines, involving museums and creative industries in her projects.
