Helen Setterud is an Adjunct Associate Professor and Docent at the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (BKV), affiliated with the Division of Sensory Organs and Communication (SOK) at Linköping University. Her research focuses on sensory organs, communication disorders, and developmental language disorder (DLD) in children. She contributes to interdisciplinary projects such as CIRCA, a tool supporting social interaction for individuals with memory challenges, and investigates interventions for children with DLD. Her work also includes cornea research, audiology, and early communication skill development in infants.
Research projects under her involvement include:
- "Swedish-speaking children with developmental language disorder in comparison with second language learners"
- "Precursors of Intentional Communication Skills in Children"
- "Clinical Ophthalmic Research"
