Helen Rodd is a Professor in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on reproductive strategies, including sexual behavior and life history traits, with a particular emphasis on how these strategies adapt to population demography and conspecific behavior.
She investigates the role of frequency-dependent selection in maintaining genetic variation in male guppy coloration and explores sensory biases in mate choice decisions across species like poeciliids, goodeids, and medaka.
