Professor Helen Lambert is a Professor of Medical Anthropology at the University of Bristol's Bristol Medical School (PHS). Her research focuses on antibiotic use, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and pandemic responses, with a particular emphasis on healthcare practices in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs). She leads interdisciplinary studies on topics such as domestic violence interventions, AMR surveillance, and the social dimensions of antibiotic stewardship.

Notable contributions include a cluster RCT to reduce antibiotic overuse in rural China, longitudinal AMR studies in England using wastewater surveillance, and mixed-method evaluations of healthcare interventions in conflict zones such as Palestine. Her work often bridges medical anthropology with public health policy, emphasizing actionable solutions for complex health challenges.
