Helen Jøsok Gansmo

Professor Helen Jøsok Gansmo is affiliated with the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture at NTNU. Her research focuses on sustainable urban planning, energy consumption, interdisciplinary knowledge production, and gender studies in ICT. She has advised numerous master’s theses, exploring topics like elderly care technology, sustainable design, and gender dynamics in computing.

Her work emphasizes action research and stakeholder dialogue, such as in urban planning projects like Brøset. She has also contributed to initiatives like the MINDER project, addressing energy efficiency in non-residential buildings.
