معرفی
Dr. Helen He is an Associate Professor in Hydrology and Climate Change Research at the University of East Anglia's School of Environmental Sciences and Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. She develops distributed hydrological models (e.g., HBV-TYN) to assess climate impacts on flooding, drought, and water resources across UK, European, and global scales. Her research quantifies flood risks under 1.5–4°C warming scenarios and evaluates climate adaptation strategies.
Research Focus: Dr. He's work integrates hydrological modeling, extreme value statistics, and climate projections to analyze flood/drought hazards. She leads studies on compound coastal flooding, economic risk assessment, and stakeholder-informed adaptation planning, notably in the UK's Broadland catchment and East Anglian wetlands.
Education:
- Dr.-Ing. in Hydrology, University of Stuttgart (2008)
- M.Sc. in Water Resources Engineering & Management, University of Stuttgart (2004)
- B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Tianjin University (1998)
Professional Roles: She serves as Editor for Hydrology and Earth System Sciences (HESS) and is a member of the NERC Peer Review College. Dr. He teaches Hydrology, Hydrogeology, and Research Skills modules and coordinates MSc projects in Environmental Sciences.
