معرفی
Dr. Helen Hayward is a leading researcher at the University of Liverpool, specializing in high-energy physics and detector technology. She serves as the ATLAS Upgrade PI since July 2016 and co-led the Pixel Integration Manager team for the ATLAS Pixel Endcap upgrade. Her work focuses on simulation and performance analysis for particle detectors at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
Her research spans Particle Physics and High Energy Physics, with technical expertise in detector simulation, cross-section measurements, and data analysis. She has contributed to key publications on Higgs boson production, top quark mass measurements, and long-lived particle searches.
Scientific Awards
- Alan Beeston Award (University of Liverpool, 2010)
She supervises thesis projects including Search for resonances decaying to a Z boson and a photon, and leads simulations for the new strip detector in the ATLAS upgrade. Her work is supported by grants from the Science and Technology Facilities Council (2018-2027, 2016-2018).
