Dr. Ashdown's educational background includes:
- BM BCh (Oxford)
- MA (Cambridge)
- MRCP
- MRCGP
- DCH
- PGDip (Health Research)
- DPhil (Oxford)
Her principal research interests focus on respiratory disease, particularly diagnosis and diagnostic accuracy studies in primary care settings. Previous projects have spanned child health, infectious disease, and the diagnostic accuracy of medical devices available for public purchase. Her current research continues to explore the diagnosis and management of respiratory disease, with special emphasis on primary care relevant biomarkers and novel technology applications in airways disease. She employs cohort studies, diagnostic accuracy frameworks, and innovative technological approaches to address critical questions in primary respiratory care.
