Heitor Mancini Teixeira is a Researcher at the Plant Production Systems department of Wageningen University & Research. His work focuses on agroecology, biodiversity, and tropical ecosystems, with emphasis on functional diversity and land use impacts. He holds a PhD from the project 'Functional diversity in agro-forest landscapes of the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais, Brazil', supervised by Prof. Peña Claros and Co-promotor Bianchi.
His research explores agroecological transitions, soil microbiology, and tropical forest dynamics. Key projects include quantifying diversification impacts in coffee systems and evaluating ecosystem services in agroforestry landscapes.
