Heino Falcke is a Full Professor of Astroparticle Physics and Radio Astronomy at the Institute for Mathematics, Astronomy and Particle Physics (IMAPP) of Radboud University, Nijmegen. He is also a guest scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy (MPIfR) in Bonn and chairs the science council of the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration.

Falcke's research focuses on supermassive black holes, accretion physics, and cosmic rays. His work bridges theoretical models with observational techniques, including the development of the LOFAR telescope and lunar-based radio experiments.
