Dr. Heiner Michel serves as Lecturer for special tasks and Research Associate at the Institute of Philosophy, University of Koblenz since 2014 (previously University of Koblenz-Landau until 2023). His academic career spans multiple institutions including Goethe University Frankfurt, Université catholique de Louvain, and United Arab Emirates University.
His educational background features a doctorate in Philosophy from JW Goethe University Frankfurt (2004), DAAD-funded research at Columbia University (2000), and fellowship training at the University of Tübingen's Graduate School 'Ethics in the Sciences' (1998-2001).
Research interests center on Ethics and Political Philosophy with emphasis on Global Justice frameworks and Philosophy of Education, shaped by collaborations with Thomas Pogge and Philippe Van Parijs. His work integrates theoretical ethics with practical educational applications.
